Seconded mr Blubeard - never had so much fun just sitting on a beach - top weekend despite the lack of wind.
And yes - this thread seems to have generated a lot of interest in the last day or so - you all need to get out more!!

Lets face it we could each fall out with everyone else on the planet if we tried hard enough - everyone's life is different to one's own for many reasons - some under your control some not. But what brings us together is a love on the outdoors - which can be enjoyed in lots of different ways. Life's too short - lets talk up what we have in common, not where we differ.

Sermon over - and no mention of Sharia law either.....

exactly spooks, i love going to borth because everyone there gets on well together, helps each other out and its relaxation and distraction from the life we lead monday to friday.

glad you all had a good time this weekend, even if the wind didnt make it.

see you all next weekend !

Strange there was no wind at BRS.... I'm sure I saw that Impi was out windsurfing at Rhosneigr yesterday.

Still, is was like summer here and the surf was good.

you don't have to retire to the woodwork daz.....i just meant that seeing as you had'nt posted on here for a while, it seems that you must feel quite strongly on the subject to have come out of the woodwork to give me a ticking off.......anyway, i'm thinkin of getting rid of the bike and getting a jet-ski if anyone else is up for it, i've seen one on ebay with 2 engines, 900HP, it can do 130n knots apparently......on flat water of course, perfect in the estuary..

just kidding.

Phew....can of worms!!

Back on topic.. superb weekend..great weather..company and activities

Mr Fish-Bainger, consider your new weekend accomodation well and truly christened. Thanks for putting up with us all till the early hours. Nice motor!

Cant believe that the second week of Feb has been so good to us all. Personally, I managed three days of mtbing at four different venues, not a cloud in the sky and quality company. Yep, finished off my long weekend with a trip around the Marin Trail (the first 'propper' mtb trail that we attempted) Very leggy but well worth the trip. the views were so much better this time with clear skys, I was able to take in the stunning view, including the last remnants of snow on top of Snowdon. Bumped into a couple a guys half way round that live in Nuneaton who put me onto another trail in the Gwydyr forest (Short at 7 miles) but worth a look.

Roll on next weekend... With trails like that at yer fingertips..who needs wind..ok..ok I do realy

This is axcatly what forums are for, talking and discussing, Im sure every body does it from a friendly point of view, and banter is as much fun as kiting at times, ( I think so anyway). I dont envy your predicament one bit Loxely, hope your able to sort things out.

Does Rabbit shooting count as a force of nature????? Just wondering if I can start listing my shooting sessions? After all Im using FORCE against NATURE?? It invloves lots of expensive toys, and walking around the welsh hill side? Your thoughts will be much appreciated!

Shem,

my best mate shoots regularly, his pickup always has dead animals in the back and under the seats.

he hasn't kited for a while but if he knew he could bring his guns down to wales I am sure it would entice him back.

the reason he is usually too knackered to kite at the weekend is because he has been lamping till all hours !

he has a neat twin clay launcher,
whats the score on finding somewhere to launch them out to sea or into the estuary ?

up here, we use a mates field for a clay pigeon session.

Doubt youd get permission to beach launch them, youd prob find a willing farmer though. I shoot rifles with night sights, nice and discreet!

Well the family enjoyed the day trip to BRS which is the main thing. The wife is slowly getting attached to the camper also which I knew it would just be a mater of time.

Maybe a "Bunny Bashing" Forum heading would be good as well. The evil menaces dont stand a chance, with a 200 yard night sight attached to a ring fire, 11 shot 2.2!!! Aaaahhhhh aaaaahhhhh aaaaaahhhhhh!

Had a great day on saturday, went to BRS - zero wind so called Funsport at Rhosy and they said there was 20knts up there so back in the van and up up to Newborough. Had a nice little sesh in the sunshiiiine with about 12 other kiters. Stoped at Betws-y-Coed for chips and beer on way home
Played with my nitro rc heli on sunday - good times.
