The Sound of HarrisHorgabost, Harris

Harris is divided from Lewis by the long sea lochs of Loch Seaforth and Loch Resort. It is 21 miles long and 18 miles wide with a population of about 2200. The principal towns are Leverburgh in the south and Tarbert in its centre. Harris is the most mountainous of the Outer Hebrides, with Clisham at 2622 feet being the highest. Access to Harris is via ferry to Leverburgh from North Uist or by road from Lewis.
