So what's on your Christmas list...?

For me, to complete my quiver, I'd love a 4.5m sail + 400 mast for those oh so regular high wind days in the Midlands.....but to be honest I'm probably just p?ss?ng in the wind...if there was any!

How about you?

Cheers

Nick

ps now have you been good?

Some nice consistent windy days would be nice, to coincide with when I'm not at work...

Is that asking for too much?

Dear Father Christmas,

I've been a good boy this year, I've gone to bed early (except at weekends), eaten all my greens and have been very well behaved.
So please please please with a cherry on the top can I have a prevailing NE off-shore wind around hells mouth?
Possibly with a nice swell and clean 8ft waves!

If you cann't muster this up then your not the magical figure I thought you were.

So a new pair of wetsuit socks will be fine!

This sort of post always start to worry me. I know Al has a mental list of all he could ever want and this is just an excuse for him to write it down. I can probably guess a few items for him since the loss of his rig a couple of weeks ago though!

Having completly given up on ever finding good conditions ever again, I think a PS2 and LCD TV for the van so I can play away those long winters evenings when I have given up hunting for wind..........

BAD, can I copy your list.

Oh and add that the wave board must be indestructible so I can't trash it in the waves.

Ditto the sail...

Oh and a quad bike so I don't have to do the walk of shame when I sail it...!

Where do I start!!!!

I haven't been able to replace my kit much this year and everything is just about worn out.

I need a new wave board to replace my old and very heavily repaired Mistral Eruption.
An 85 litre board to replace my antique Hifly 265, which is heavier than my van and not really suited to the conditions I sail in.
A 100 litre all round board as my Cross is taking on more water than is healthy for it, and its rather soft underfoot.

Thats the windsurf boards taken car of. My kite-surf board and surfboards are OK at the mo, but my little Fish is beginning to look a little worse for wear.

Sailwise, then a 5m wave sail to replace mine that is currently at the bottom of Cardigan Bay would be nice, as would a 4m sail as I don't have one and quite often wish that I did.

I need a new 400cm mast as once again mine is at the bottom of the sea, and a new 430cm mast wouldn't go amiss either as that one looks as though its about to snap as well. (its looking a little worn where the boom attaches).

Talking of booms, then I need one of those as well because mine is... you've guessed it, at the bottom of the sea. Theres also a set of harness lines, a mast pad, boom bumper and mast extension keeping the other stuff company at the bottom of the sea, so those things are on my list too.

Along with a new helmet as mines a little rusty to say the least, some wetsuit boots, a couple of UJ's and some downhaul rope (as always)!!!

And while I'm at it, some bigger balls so that I can go for a forward loop!!!

Thats it I think as far as windsurfing kit goes... a couple of big kites would be nice too as mine is an ancient (in kiting terms) and doesn't really have a safety system or depower system that works. On top of which, the various bits of rope etc. that attach me to the bar have been repaired so many times that I can no longer reach the bar when its all fully extended (For those of you who haven't flown a kite, not being able to reach the bar isn't much of a help!!).

Unfortunately, I already know what I'm getting for Xmas and thats half a lounge carpet!!... Exciting hey!

Al.

A new carpet. That reminds me of a (very bad) joke.

Q - Why is a man like a carpet?
A - If you lay it right the first time, you can walk over it for years!

(can also be applied to a new Patio!)

Is there wind on the way??

If you want a 'flashy pic'......

First remember your name its 'mrttz' and your password, then login on the home page and at the bottom of the 'My Forces-of-Nature Profile' box is a link that says 'update my avatar'... actually, as you don't already have one, it should say something along the lines of 'choose and avatar' (I can't quite remember if I coded that into it though)...

Anyway click on the link about an avatar and then choose one from the many on offer.

Hope that helps... Although I don't think there is one of an elephant!

Al.

Sarah is getting a board for Xmas.
But she doesn't know it yet, and its due to arrive at home either today or tomorrow.

I'll have to see if I can hide it.

I'm safe on here cos she never logs on...

I think she thinks we are all a bit sad

Dear Santa,

As I know you have many gifts to regalar and they usually acabar before you cross el Rio Grande, all I want es un little piece of papel, so small you could carry it in your pocket mejor than in ese heavy sack.

I know esos kids north of the border deserve their juguetes, look at Sr. Bush, he gets the full Star Wars collection and all G.I.Joe toy soldados.

So all I ask for es un little gift que will bring me muchos years of fun in the sun and waves; what I want this Christmas es un winning lottery ticket - simple and easy for a magical guy como you. I hope you don't forget.

Hastya luego

Bandit

p.s. please send mucho viento and waves for all en el UK.

Its hidden in the garage,

The carrier left it by the woodshed, and Sarah walked right past it I thought she must have seen it, but she didn't.

Being a woman she was probably busy thinking of something to moan at me about.

You'll have to wait and see - as Sarah will,

She has to be a good girl from now until Christmas or Santa might not move it from the garage and down the chimney...

ho ho ho

But don't get too excited as its only a second hand board.
