Lost windsurf rig at Borth
I had to ditch my whole rig today whilst sailing as my mast snapped. I was quite a way out and couldn't get back in with it, especially
as the shards of carbon fibre from the broken ends of the mast were trying their best to stab me.
So, if anyone finds any remnants of a 5.0m Gun Wave MC sail, the broken mast, the boom, mast extension or any of the other bits and
pieces, could they let me know... I can't afford any replacements at the moment and now can only rig my 5.7m sail on an old boom. 
If it does wash up on the shore, its likely to do so somewhere between Borth and Tywyn.

These things happen I suppose. The cost mounts up as well when you think about all the little bits and pieces that go to make up a
rig... Including my longest serving piece of kit... A Mast pad that must be 15 years old... Used every day I've been out windsurfing in
those 15 years as well, and was still going strong.
Made by a company called Hy-Jumpers who were all the rage back in the 80's. And now its out there in Cardigan Bay somewhere with no-one
to appreciate it.

Sorry to hear about the loss, but at least you got back in safely.
Ironically we set out for a session on Sunday only to find less than 10knots of wind at the beach. A couple of people were out, but
nobody was planning. What a difference a few miles makes!
Is there wind on the way??

I had to pick up someone from airport on Saunday grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr loads of wind here

Just thought I'd let you all know that my insurance company paid up.... its a long story as my renewl documents had been sent to them
before the ccident, buyt due to the postal strike they hadn't received them.
My policy ran out on the 1st of Nov and the accident happened on the 2nd Nov. So technically i wasn't covered. However, the insurance
comany (boatinsure.co.uk / Devitt) decided that they would honour my claim anyway and have now paid up...
I've obviously renewed my policy with them, and once again have been happy with the service they provide. Just thought I'd give credit
where its due. It makes a change from moaning about people / companies as well.
