Cardigan Bay goes off!!!
Well, its been a long time coming, but at last we've had some decent waves here again.
Thursday and Friday last week were OK in the mornings, but I didn't manage to get out, and it wasn't THAT good anyway. Then there was a
lull in the waves on Saturday, and a bit of a Westerly wind which messed them up, but it went off on Sunday...
Perfect 3 foot walls of glass. Not a puff of wind and blazing sunshine. Just perfect. Reading through the diaires it sounds as though
quite a few people scored some good waves at graveyards, which meant that I had the waves at Ynyslas just the other side of the estuary
mouth all to myself. I couldn't quite believe that there was no-one else out, but I wasn't complaining.
Just perfect really, not quite as good as it gets around here, but nice easy aves with a little bit of power and speed to them...
Nice!!!

We were down at Westward Ho! all weekend, sunday afternoon was overhead on occasion so if it was that big there it must have been
massive further down the coast! you could see it breaking about 1/2 mile out at saunton.
My mate whos lived there all his life said he'd never seen condtions like it. 12-15 off shore, 25deg temps & solid 6 foot faces.
amasing weekend.
