Windy Weekend on the way.

I know its still a long way off, but early indications seem to be pointing towards a windy weekend. (Its about time). Anyone coming to Borth, ot fancy meeting up somewhere else in Wales??

Of course, the forecast could all change by the weekend.

Al.

Still looking good

Its still looking good according to the Inshore forecast:

quote:
Outlook for all UK Inshore Waters for following 3 days:
becoming mainly south to southeast 2 to 4 on Friday although perhaps west 5 to 6 around the southwest of england for a time. Winds becoming mainly north to northwest 3 to 5 on Saturday, increasing generally north to northeast 4 to 6 occasionally 7 on Sunday.

And the isoabr chart for Saturday looks OK too:

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, BUT it looks like it won't get here until Monday. Sunday may be ok but more for Monday..... ah well we'll see, forecasts are often way off. Fingers crossed

Windy Weekend

Hi wind freaks,

it is still a while off until the weekend. I try not to get excited by forecasts that are longer off than one day. But this low pressure system is big enough to bring some decent wind.
According to the wind forecast I have seen on the internet there will only be 15 knots on Sa or Su though.

See ya when it¥s windy!

Joe

My forecasts don¥t go til Monday yet. (But will do so this evening.) But yes, Al, if it¥s windy I will be there.

Friday evening and Sa morning could just be sailable with force 4-5. I might come to stay at the beach. Are you going to be there?
Maybe we can talk about that again tomorrow.

Joe. (and anyone else)

Tomorrow could be OK...this is the Inshore Forecast from 5pm tonight (Thursday)
quote:
24 hour forecast:

Wind: east to southeast 4 or 5, gradually backing northwest 5 or 6.
Weather: spells of rain.
Visibility: moderate or good.
Sea State: slight increasing moderate, perhaps rough for a time in the south.
Outlook for the following 24 hours:
Wind: northwest 5 or 6, later decreasing 3 or 4.
Weather: rain clearing, then showers.
Visibility: good, occasionally moderate.
Sea State: moderate, but locally rough later.

I can be free for the afternoon if you're coming to Borth (I've already told the people I'm working for that I won't be there if its windy!!)... You can stay here too.

Al.

Al,

I aim to be at the beach tomorrow, Friday, between 3:00 and 4:00 pm.
I`ll stay overnight and will bring everything I need (I could sleep in the car).

Will you try your new kit?

Anyone else coming to Borth this weekend?

Travelling

I am not in Borth this weekend as I'm off to Ireland tonight, (for a week), so no doubt the Irish sea will be rough, I hope you all enjoy it though.

Hi everyone,

anyone going to be at the beach tomorrow, Tue, or Wed?
It looks like it might be some mellow fun in a force 4-5 south westerly.
If yes, I am thinking of driving down.

See you then.

Joe,
I can be around tomorrow (Tues), but not until late afternoon...unless of course the conditions look epic! I might have to work most of the day on Weds though.

You didn't miss anything today.
