New windspeed Record
Well, the meeting of Storm Emma and The Beast from the East was interesting. Winds elsewhere in Wales hit around 60-70mph but thanks to
some help from Ivor, our local katabatic wind which is a gravity driven wind fuelled by the cold temperatures we smashed all previous
records.
89.5 knots maximum gust in the end, but the sustained winds of around 80 knots for most of the day on March the 2nd were what really
made it stand out. It was one hell of a windy day!!
