National Watersports Festival – A Month to Go!
Just a month to go before the start of the National Watersports Festival (NWF) - three days of non-stop racing, activity and fun for
all the family at Hayling Island, Hampshire on 5 – 7th September!
New for 2014
‘Blast from the Past’ – a fun race pitting the windsurfing heroes of yesteryear against the stars of today, with the
chance for YOU to join them! Imagine the adrenaline of sitting on the start line alongside legends like Peter Hart, World Champions
like Julian Anderson and Ross Williams – and the bragging rights if you beat them!
Join Up
If you have not entered before, or are going on your own and want a place to meet up with like-minded windsurfers, or just want some
advice and tips on how to get the most out of the event (or win races!) Simon Bornhoft’s Team Windwise and Nik Baker’s Team
K66 want YOU!
Girls Wanted!
There is also Team Ladies That Launch just for the girls; Pimms and Prosecco available! Details of how to get involved and join the
teams can be found on the NWF website (links below).
What’s On?
All the much loved stalwarts of the NWF will be there - racing for all levels of ability and age, Taster Sessions in all of the sports
(ideal for spectators desperate to have a go!) Free Coaching Clinics with top UK Coaches and the Trade Show; the largest in the UK for
the associated sports with the opportunity to try out the latest gear.
The legendary floodlit Night event is extended to both nights, with a new kite park demonstration on Friday. Don’t miss the
spectacle - the professionals never fail to put on a show! And if this wasn’t enough there is live music at the Festival’s
Beach Parties on the Friday and Saturday nights!
Watch it Live!
This year the whole event will be streamed live at http://nationalwatersportsfestival.com/live/, so armchair enthusiasts don’t
need to miss a single minute.
See you there!
Get Involved!
Tickets are available for the event directly from the website http://nationalwatersportsfestival.com/participate/
It is free for spectators, who are invited to soak up all the activity of the weekend, a schedule of ‘What’s On’ is
