Isle of Man End2End 2012
Well, Jay and I survived the Isle of Man End2End at the weekend.
All turned out well. The course was slightly different this year in order to avoid some sensitive areas so was a few miles longer and
had more climbing. There was also a 30mph headwind all the way. The leaders were about 45 minutes 'slower' than usual because of this,
but I beat my previous time by 5 minutes so I'm happy with that.
1,700 riders, 45 miles from one end of the Kingdom of Man to the other, 5,100 feet of climbing - Lovely!
4:42 for me, 7:02 for Jay.

Nope, it was 'orrible. Cold, wet and very windy along with pretty much zero visibility on top of the hills.
At least I didn't get too hot or sunburnt I suppose and the winds kept the midges at bay.
