Aberystwyth MTB Rides week beginning 4th April
Night Ride
This week it is the Dyfi forest on Wednesday 7th April so meet at the usual car park above Ceinws at 6:30 pm. We will ride round to the
first climb in the forest and ride up that. Often a forgotten part of the enduro until the day, but well worth riding up occasionally
to get used to it.
We then plan on going down Elephant and then the Builth descent and then along the ClimachX trail to the 3-in-1 trail that takes you
all the way to the bottom close to the exit of the Builth. Climb all the way back up and ride what used to be the first Dyfi descent
and then go to the final descent and back to the carpark. If there is time we could always spin up and do the final descent or short
cut.
Following weeks will be in the Dyfi also, but looking at various other parts of the course. So next week we will park over towards the
feed station and ride the trails there. The week after park in the same place and ride down Bailey Bridge and the trails in that
section. And so on .
Lights are a necessity for the ride. Dave has a spare set of lights, so if you want to borrow some then let us know. Bring something
warm for the end of the ride as it can still get cold later on. Bringing a change of clothing might be a good idea.
Weekend Ride
Nothing 100% planned yet, but I'm sure someone will be up for a ride.
General Info
There is a group of 10ish transient and 4-5 regular “hardcore” riders who join in on these rides in and around
Aber/Mach.
We will ride for 2-2¬? hours depending on the people who join us, at a social pace.
