It's teasing me
I Wish the wind would sort it self out, gusting to 20 knots all day, but with lulls down to next to nothing so it isn't quite worth
getting wet for.
Shame really as I've got all the speed kit I need and would love to give it a go now in moderate conditions just to get the feel for it
and the speed channel looks perfect at the moment on the neap tides.
I even managed to rig my 6.3m sail OK in the garden today. I had been struggling with it and thought a new mast would be needed but
with some new downhaul rope and shed loads of strength I got it rigged OK. Had to push with both feet on the mast extension and pull
with all my might to get it downhauled enough. Once set properly though it looks like a beast of a sail.

Sounds like you need the downhaul crank thing. It is made for large slalom sails and girls. Not to say I am calling you a girl of
course it is just I would hate to rig that sail in 25knots of wind and have to put all that downhaul on. You would put your back out
before you get to sail it.

Yep, either that or some time at the gym lifting weights.
