A big thank you to all who came to the beach clean last Sunday. We were pretty lucky with the weather although it kept threatening to rain. We filled about a dozen or so bags with various rubbish. The area under the cliff was particularly bad - lots of bottles - plastic and glass. Also along the sea wall there were load and loads of cigarette butts - which take a lot of picking up!! And for some reason there were a lot of polystyrene pieces which again are quite tricky to get hold of. Other than that the beach at that end of Borth was quite good - which is really nice. I think that having someone cleaning it through the summer really helps.

So, I am thinking that it would be good to move farther along the beach and pick up from there quite soon and then we can work our way out to the areas which don't have anyone cleaning them in the summer.
