newbie requires help and understanding

im not looking to buy just yet only doing my homework. even though i like jumping in at the deep end and learning i still dont know about equipment needed to have good safeish fun out there ! . ok here is a better picture . im thinking a blanket wrapped round me like a nappy and tied to that, a kite <i know what that is im thinking harnesses and certain types of clothing that would be advantagous to me CAN YOU POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION
!! PLZ kitesurfing!!!

ta for the pm. Yoru best bet is get a lesson near the area your planning on sailing if poss. The instructors will show you round the local spots, check that theyll do this first. theyll. also advise you on kite size n style as well. Good luck
