May 1st to 4th at Charmouth

Hi everyone,

I will spend a prolonged weekend on the Manor Farm Campground in Charmouth from next Thursday till Sunday (May 1st to 4th). I would like to check out the local beach there or give Portland another try. Anyone up to join me? SeanBo, Dumper and Robbie will you be in the area then?
How about a little barbeque on one of the evenings?
I am open to suggestions...

Joe

I won't be there Joe.... A bit too far for me to travel really and I've spent far too much time down along that bit of coast in the past anyway...

So whats this sudden obsession you have with the Charmouth area??

I hope you're not getting soft in your old age and looking for flat water locations like Portland!!

Al.

Portland

I probably have the Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday off, but am not sure what we are doing yet.

I will post again when I know if I will be heading Portland way as it would be good to meet up.

No, Al, I don't see myself as getting old. It's just that Dunja has booked this static caravan to take the few days off. Anyway it's not bad down there.

SeanBo, and anyone else how is interested, just let me know what's happening. I'll be there in any case.

Looking forward to some good sailing.

Joe

Ok folkes, I'm off to Charmouth. It seems like the weather is not going to be too great but there is some wind forecast the next few days. Unlike last time I went there it is supposed to come from the right direction too. So I hope to meet some of you out there.
Happy sailing everyone.

Bye

Joe

Have fun Joe.... I've just e-mailed you asking if you get the German Surf magazine... I want a synopsis of the test on wave board, especially the write up on the Gun Copello Fire board.

Let us know how you get on 'down south'

Al.

Hi everyone,

Charmouth was really good. Well I did not get 10 in a row like you Al, but I had a most enjoyable session on Thursday. Friday brought very big waves with lots of wind. To be honest I did not dare to go out as I was all by myself. Saturday was an on off day. I could not really get planing with the 5.7 sail. I should have rigged the 6.2 but did not....
Sunday was as you would expect from the name: sunny! I checked the wind in the morning but there wasn't enough then and decided to to head home.
All in all still fun and it adds another spot to my list.
Met a few friendly windsurfers down there too.

For more details check my diary.

Joe
