best place to base yourself

Hi there, im coming over to the uk in may from new zealand. Can anyone tell me where the best place to base myself to find some good waves would be? Im hoping to travel between different beaches to find the best waves as i can.

It has to be Cornwall really... Almost anywhere in Cornwall, preferably on the North Coast really.

Other options would be West coast of Ireland or the Outer Hebrides for proper waves, but if you are looking at the mainland then Cornwall will be your best bet.
