Hi Al
Feel free to laugh at me! I'll probably deserve it!
I'm from Cheshire and i'm a newbie to Surfing, mostly when visiting Cornwall but would love to start doing it more regularly and closer
to home!

You should get yourself across to North Wales.
Hells Mouth near Abersoch is a top surfing spot and there are also a few peeps to be seen at Borth or across the water at Dyfi when the
swell is right.
Probably less than 3 hours drive compared to the 6 or 7 it must take you to get to Cornwall or North Devon.

The beach at the northen end of borth or alongh the aberdyfi to tywyn coast ideal for learning. When its big and windy get down to
Borth corner for some shelter. Enjoy
