on the way to recovery
hi all just thought id let you know how things are after saturday ( if this means nothing to you look at my diary saturday 22 nd
feb)
ive torn the ligaments off my ankle but as it came off it took part of my ankle bone with it ( how inconsiderate is that)
im all in plaster at moment for the next 10 days then ive got to have it xrayed
hopefully it wont be to bad
and i will be back on the water very quickly.
to catch the spring gales
thanks to every one who helped saturday
i ll keep you all informed on how things are
later daz
im still smiling as it was still a top day

Glad to hear you're still in good spirits (in more than one way by the sounds of your other post!).
You haven't missed anything yet windwise, so you'll be back out on the water before you know it. The forecast isn't looking great for
the next few days either, so you never know, you might not miss out on anything.

computer has been playing up installed windows xp it didnt work for 3 days night mare dont get it at mo to many problems
just watched the boost dvd hell it shows you how to do every move so derek at borth beware dazz is going to be a pro by the time i get
back on the water (not)
but it is a helpful dvd worth buying
ive watched ever wind surf vid ive got looked all the porn on the net ( yes every thing)
in to hospital tomorrow lets hope its good news
hope every one is having fun but looking at the diary i dont think i missed out alot this week end
i ll let you know what happens tomorrow

Glad to hear you're still in fairly good spirits about it all... And keeping your forearm strength up by the sounds of it. 
Good luck with the X-Ray tomorrow. Let us know how it goes.
Sounds like I should borrow 'Boost' one day to get me motivated to get out with my kite.

hi all its good news im out of plaster now and just got off the crutches yesterday having loads of physio.
my recovery is going better than i thought at moment touch wood it carries on this way.
what did i say about the weather isnt it typical a full week end of wind how long has it been since we had one (and i cant get out all
ive done is watch the trees bend this week end)
im recovering from to much wine at mo its me birthday today and im all hung over.
hopefully it wont be long before im back on the water
shit its about about a force 6 here at mo so whats it doing at the coast
bet its mast high 6to7 clean as you like an epic day
oh well ill keep dreaming
ill let you all know how things are getting on .

Glad to hear the recovery is coming on fine... You didn't miss out on much today...just a couple of people getting completely and
utterly rinsed!!.
Yesterday was OK, but not great either... No doubt we'll see you back on the beach soon.

There was nothing wrong with the wind Darren, but it certainly was a washing machine day!!
Saturday was good, and would have been better if I wasn't being cautious. After seeing Simon trash his kit in the morning I was playing
things safe, which in hindsight was probably silly as every time I did try to get out the back I made it with little trouble and didn't
get trashed once...There were some monsters out there though.
Sunday was different though, plenty of wind but a really viscous rip running parallel to the beach which meant getting going in the
shorebreak was impossible.. And, you know how unforgiving the waves at Borth can be when in the 3 foot range, when in the 6 foot range
they eat windsurfers for breakfast!!!.... I can't afford any new kit if I break anything, so thought I'd play it safe on the Sunday and
stay dry!!.... There will be plenty of other days.

my ankle isnt right but its good enough to go boarding on

Sorry to hear your ankle hurt again after Saturdays session... I've just read your diary entry... How is it now? Do you think you'll be
off the water again or will you be OK if you take it easy??
I managed to hurt my foot during Sundays session, so I'm injured at the mo too. I did manage to get out again the following day, but it
hurt.
