Newbie from Nottinghamshire - East Leake
Hej,
New to this kitesurf lark. Tried out some Surfing whilst at Uni in Plymouth back in the late 90's. Really keen to progress with kite
surf.
Would be good to link up with some other land-locked peeps. Diesel share to the coast etc. I have transport if that helps!
Parents have just bought a place in Greece (Near Elafonisos) on the coast. Ideal for kitesurf. They wont be there all year round so
will be ideal to exploit the free accommodation.
Booked in at 2XS in West Wittering for a 2 day course. Anyone heard whether or not its a good training centre?

hi there.
welcome to the forum.
just up the M1 from you a few miles in Chesterfield but there are quite a few of us in and around the midlands.
which coast will you favour most ? east or west ?
if you keep an eye on the main kitesurf forum you will see the 'whos going where' threads to join in on.

West coast is most ideal. Drove up to Llandudno a couple of months ago. Took just over 2hrs. Not to much an agonising distance to
travel for the surf.
I have tried using the cable-way tow machine on the lagoon at Holme Pierrepont Water Sports Centre. Its seem somewhat artificial
trying out the boards whilst being pulled by a machine on the same course!
umm Worcester is a tad more southwards from the East Midlands.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback. Get back to you once I have mastered the basics!!!!!

Yes, that seems a rather more logistical compromise.
