check your bars now! this is serious!
last sunday whist out at borth during a transition the end of my bar came off, which of course meant that i had only one steering line
on the bar. luckily i was not far out but had to pull the safety and get rid of the kite as it was powering up and dragging me under (
thats why there was a drop in sea level, i had drunk most of it).
Thanks to Annie and Spooks for assistance in getting to shore with board etc and kite.
i examined the bar and found that the head of the screw that holds the tip section in place to the bar had failed leaving the main part
of the screw still inside the bar.
today i checked the other end that was still attached and tried the screw ; sure enough it also had corroded and came away tooooooo
easily.
i have since replaced all the screws in the bar and attached 2 pics to help explain.
thanks gooodness it didnt give when i was out back..............another life i've used!
