That is actually the officlal description from the Douglas Scale.. What is the Douglas Scale???
The vice-admiral Sir Percy Douglas, created a scale to express the sea conditions in 1917, when he was responsible for the
Meteorological Navy Service.
It ranges from 0-9 with 9 being described as 'Phenomenal Sea'.

quote below from Mobbs , he was fecked , lost his head a bit and had one of them my life flashed before my eyes times !
"" Oh my god what a sail. Agree with Scotty arms and back are killing me. Thanks to Kel for loan of boom which enabled me to make it
out and back a few times before that "Oh I'll just go for one more run before I pack up"
Why do we always do that. Anyhow as Kel said went out back looking for flat spot between waves to gybe Oh S**T dropped gybe and after
couple of waterstarts where get mulled by waves, big gust blows kit 100 meters down wind. Now I'm f**ked I think. Big swim in and get
caught in rip and pounded really though this was it. Had very little breath left when finally dragged myself up beach, had to lie there
for a good ten mins to get breath back. Thanks to 1 armed Nobby for carrying board back.
Awsome photos guys makes me look good, If only they had been intentional and I could land them.
Lets hope for more Sat and Sun
PS walked in door to be greeted by wife "Had a good time" "Yep but nearley drowned" "Oh really anyone else there" Got to luv em ""
