Where to go this year!
Folks, need a little input as I'm running out of ideas.
Where should I go kitesurfing as the beginning of May?
I'm of the level where I'm getting upwind and cruising nicely, the other two lads with me are at waterstart level. I've been to Fuerte
twice in 2005, Hurghada in May and Ras Sudr in September last year. Looking for somewhere that'll suit us all.
Any suggestions?

I'm surprised no one has come up with the idea of Borth yet!
It fits all the requirements.

Other than Borth or Aberdyfi, naturally. Id go Portugal or Morocco, fairly close and good conditions.

best off taking your twintip as for the famouse wave at punta pretta will not show unless there is a minimum 2m swell due to the way
the reef works...if it produces, you better be good as if you get it wrong... you will not only trassh your gear but you'll be lucky to
escape injury!! Also with the airtravel costs, you'll be better to hire a surfboard out there.
Most kiters that want to learn, take in some moderate waveridin or freestyle it up will head for shark bay..or is that shark
beach..cant remember now, not that the sharks are a problem there. This is where most people that go to on Sal kitesurf. the win is
cross to cross on. crackin weather and trades
I'm up for it...well unless I decide on Chile, Brazil, Carribean etc. bout the same cost but what a trip eh

Ooh erhh! I'm definately not that good, using surfboards.......in my dreams........unhooked.....scary!
Looked at Cape Verde...looks Ok, a little daunting but whatever I might give it a go!
Back to Ras seems a good trip...not sure of the winds at the beginning of May though.

Well, I'm thinking of a trip to Islay in April... Wind and surf should be good there at that time of year and plenty of whisky to keep
me warm!

After a bit of discussion with various sources, I've finally decided a return trip to Ras Sudr is the way to go!
Thanks alot for everyone's input and hopefully I'll see some of you at Borth in 2007
Cheers

Travel recommendation
Hi there, am I too late to recommend you my travel guides? I think Spain is the best choice to travel to. I have been to there quite a
few times on travel and it is a worthy visiting country in the world I think. And I deem that once you're in Spain, you can't miss
costal del sol where you can enjoy a comfortable sunbath on the beach and barcelona there you can see the really beautiful sandy beach
in the sea and you can also have cooling dips in the sea. There are all great! I debt you won't regret if you go to Spain.
May you be happy!
