New Guy Cribb Carve Gybe DVD

I've just had an email advertising Guy Cribb's new Carve Gybe DVD.

I had a look at the trailer and it certainly looks good, but one thing REALLY REALLY p****s me off:

Everything is all done on the flat water of somewhere perfect like Egypt. You know what? In perfect conditions, even I can carve gybe. I did it in Dahab 4 years ago, and in Kefalos 2 years ago and again last year. But put me on 'normal' sea like the UK or Tarifa, and I can't do it for toffee.

I guess I'll still put the DVD on my Chrimbo list anyway, but seriously doubt it'll work its magic. Let's hope I'm eating my cynical words by this time next year!

There's more to life than KITESURFING!

Let me know when you find it.

I know what you mean Andrew. I can gybe on flat water in a perfect steady F4-5 and also sometimes on my wave board in F6 on flat water but it takes a bit more to do it out the in the waves when everything is moving around.

Now when in the estuary on flat water I'm trying to do strap to strap gybes faster and with a tighter arc to try and get towards being able to cope in the waves.

Its being able to gybe in all conditions which is the harder part and takes a lot of working towards.

Andy
