Windsurfing near Welshpool?
Hey, I'm from Ireland and have got job offers from Aberystwyth and Welshpool, so am busy weighin up the pros and cons of both. Just
wondering how handy Welshpool is for windsurfing. Any info appreciated.

Aberystwyth would be better... It's about 90 minutes from Welshpool to Borth which would be your best location from there to go
windsurfing... Check the beachguides on this site for more info about Borth.. It has everything a windsurfer could want!
Your other option would be Lake Bala but it only really works in a SWly and is gusty even then. It is also about 80 minutes from
Welshpool, so you would be better off heading to the coast. Aberdovey may be slightly closer than Borth, but there won't be much in
it.
Of course if you go for the Aberysytwyth position then borth is only 10 minutes away and you'll be able to see the sea from your window
(probably!)

Barmouth is probably slightly closer again and will have similar conditions to Borth.
