InJuReD DunK

Hey All,

Just wanted to let you fellow kiters all know that the Dunksta has seriously damaged his back recently..he has been out for the past 2 weeks hardly being able to walk or even stand and is currently consulting with doctors and specialists. They are recommending surgery soon, so if any of you know the legendary DunkDUDE, then give him a ring cause it really is serious.

I don't know dunk well enought to have his number, but like most people that sail in and around Borth, I do know him as a great kitesurfer and a genuinely friendly guy.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

All the best

Mark

Don't go for surgery Dunk, unless of course there is no other option... far too extreme. I was recommended surgery on my back by the 'specialists' once after loads of tests, MRI scans etc etc but decided against it. When I'm feeling as it sounds you do at the moment (unable to move and in agony) then it seems like an option, but I'm glad I haven't taken that option so far.

Al.

Gutted for you mate, best wishes and will give you a bell.

Dont let em open you up dude, they were goin to do the same to me after a nasty motorbike accident, had all the scans an specialists telling me the same. At the last min i went to see a geez in Leicester, not an austiopath or a cyropractor, cost me 120 squids and i've never looked back. The Yoga helps too, nothing too severe, just granny stretching.

Will bell you when i find his number dude

Hey Dudes,

Thanks for all your support. I've only just seen this as I'm not on-line at home.

I had a scan appox 7 years ago, and have a disk probem, I opted not to have surgery then. I've had another scan today which shows the same problem. The pain has been much worst this time though. Chris has given me top professional advise and put me in touch with a local osteopath dude who's looking after me. I've been doing loads of swimming and think I'm getting better ( touch wood!) Surgery would def be the last option though.

Fingers crossed I'll be back on the water soon.

Thanks again,

Dunks

Hey Mark, I'd heard you were out of action but didn't realise it was so bad. You got over tearing your knee to bits and you can do this too.
Good luck.
