get a lesson. if you come on the beach just having watched a dvd you'll get killed, or we'll kill you for being an irresponsible idiot.
Talk to shem.
but if you've had lessons, good dvd's then are Fluid edge or boost 2. fludi edge is a uk one by mike smith and boost is a yank one
with more bikins (2 ithink) and blue sea.

Lessons are definately the way.
As an extra DVD's are great and Yep, I'd say Fluid Edge is one of the best. Make sure you get volume 1 though. Volume 2 is more
advanced!

Hows your kite control at present?
A small foil kite will help you progress as you can use it at your local rec. ground. By learning to use that first will cut down the
amount of time you spend with an instructor and there fun to play with when you cant get on the water.
There is no substitute for lessons, a qualified instructor will prevent you from killing yourself and other beach users.
Good luck, happy flying and we'll see you when the wind blows.

Cheers guys! Its actually for a pal - a present from his other half - she is also going to get him a couple of lessons cos i told her
he'd die otherwise! (why isnt my girlfriend like this?). I have given her all your details (inc shem) so she may well be in
touch....
I had my first days kitesurfing last week (newborough)where I actually managed to go upwind!!!! It was a monumental step in my kiting
career!! Very happy man! Still cant relaunch the beast though. Its a mk1 16m north rhino - any tips?

Have u got a 5th line or anything on it? I'm thinking of putting one on to make it easier to get it on its back (if only this was true
in other aspects of life.?)

No,
but I'm seriously thinking of putting one on. The only times I ever get it back in the air is when IT feels like it. Guess I need to
explore getting a tab sewn onto the leading edge.
Or.... mug the piggy bank and get a Crossbow 16m

Mmmm...Thems crossbow thingies sound like the dogs danglies...but the duries out...well dont know bout the crossbow but I was at Old
Hunstanton on Friday, and there was a guy on the Takoon Version. It Seemed to be flying realy well, but he ditched it and was tryin to
water launch it for a good 15 mins and ended up swimmin in!!!
Now I'll reserve judgement as it could av bin down to his technique, but intsant relaunch eh...an that was on the flat stuff.
Now if its true what your tellin me about the effects of one o dem 5th line gizmoes, i'd best be takin one down the local...I may av a
bit more joy

I do one-on-one coaching too...... If you need help with a specific area, like re-launching???
Don't jump to the Crossbow/Nova designs. Had a fly and felt really really spongy. Very little feedback on the bar. But to be fair,
it was light wind, might be better with a breeze in it.

3? do you mean the sling shot
the bow kites rock up in on 12 when i wouldn't bother going out then still out when i'm haning onto my ten which hsa a great top end.
awesome!
what kite doesn't feel spongy in light wind. be realisitic we'll always need some breeze to ride in. one kite quiver easy relaunch
for beginners what more could you want.
