Back to the hospital today, good news things healing well everything is where its suposed to be. Im allowed to take the sling off and move things about for short periods of time for next 2 weeks then if it feels ok go without he sling from then.
So fingers crossed I at least won't have the sling for egypt. Have been told no windsurfing or contact sports for the time being

Get Well Soon

Darren,
Sorry to see you looking so resigned on Sunday. Brog can be a complete B*s*t*a*d when it comes to semi-submerged cr&p, specifically design to gouge your fin - normally. Your accident seems like really bad luck. I've bruised shins and fins alike there, but nothing half as serious as what you have. I hope you get well soon. All I can say is once you get going don't go anywhere with a depth of less than 10 fathoms!

Tim

At least that sounds fairly promising and you may be able to get on the water before too long.... When do you think you'll be back on the water properly??.. I was thinking of trying to get a few of the FON windsurfing regulars up for another Borth Beach Bash sometime over the summer.... It wouldn't be right to do it while you were incapacitated.

Mate - bummer about the arm

Are you going to El Tur windsurf centre? I just spent a week in Rhodes with the owner of it - called Rick. His missus, Jeanette, does lots of 'alternative' healing type stuff - Reiki, and all that kinda business - might be worth giving that a stab while yer there if you can't go sailing.

Practice 1 handed hooked in stuff, or would that be silly.

If/ when u go - say a big HI to Rick from his roomy in Rhodes! Cheers.

Yep its The El tur windsurf centre im going to, Im gonna give the reiki stuff ago . I don't think i wll be far of being back onthe water but IU don't want to risk sailing too soon and doing some proper damage. Im not too sure about the 1 handed hooked instuff maybe in a force 4-5 but forcasts ive seen for el tur this year have been 6 - 9 :O

Yeah - Rick said it is ferociously windy most of the time - it's been blowing F9 much of last week..... Sounds like a terrific resort - good luck with a speedy recovery mate.
