The waves are better than at Borth.... bigger and better spaced and if theres a decent swell it can get pretty monstrous.

The only photos I have of Llangentih are from a pretty flat, windless day and I think those are already in the beachguide.. The nice thing about the Gower is that there are plenty of other beaches in close proximity all facing different directions, so if Llangenith is too mad or offshore there is usually somewhere else to go...

It is quite a trek from the car park to the Beach with your kit at Llangenith.

Cheers Al,

When you say quite a trek - am I needing to get my hiking boots on.... or is this relative to the short hop over the rocks at Borth?

Anyone else been there...?

Hans.

It is relative to the short hop, but it is probably 100 yds through the dunes from the closest part of the car park, plus whatever length of beach you have to cross depending on the tide.

This time of year it shouldn't be too bad as the car park will be empty, but in the summer while its busy it could be a bit further!

Hi Mark
Fisrt off Rossili you wont be able to launch from here.
LLangenith . well the waves are great here very clean .
parking is at one spot only in the caravan site right at the very bottom .
they charge you on the entrance gate to site to park .
you then either rig in car park and carry your kit up over the dunes (it aint that hard) or it its really windy do a wrap job and rig it on beach .
problem is it not any good in the normal westly air flows we get , but good in eastly . with port eynon less than 15mins away with works perfect in west directions .
If you own a surf board as well it worth the hop as the waves are good .
If your looking to camp/stay the site is quite busy at times
. dont know if that ans you quest . let me know if you need more .
