Blowing a Hoolie!!!
Woooohooo, It is blowin an absolute hoolie out there. The wave bouy at Aberporth seems to have stopped working... Maybe its been blown
to pieces, but the last reading I got from it was for a sustained windspeed of 42 knots.
Just been out and measured it myself and got gusts of 51 knots (6.30am).... Now That is WINDY MILLER!!!
I'm half tempted to go out now and do a speed session in the estuary (in the dark), but think I'd better leave it until it gets light
as I'm not that sure where all the sandbanks are at the mo. Looks as though the wind will drop off quite a bit by then though.

Just checked the latest satellite wind map from 6.28am and it looks as though theres still a bit of wind on its way. Those readings off
SW Ireland with pennants rather than barbs are over 50 knots!!!

I think he'll be OK, its dropped off quite a bit already. Just been over to the beach and its now around 30 knots with 40 knot gusts.
The sea look HUGE though, no end to the whitewater and foam everywhere. The pebbles are completely coated with foam as well (looks as
though they have a covering of snow on them) and there is a massive 6 foot deep pile of foam up against the groyne.
I've cancelled work for today, so shall be out on the water within a hour... Anyone else coming out to play??
