Surf Kayaker Joins
I have been looking for a surf site freindly to us Kayaks. I'm sick of the arguments and prejudice. This site seems perfect - excellent
work. Any other surf kayakers out there who use NW England and North Wales. Am also a walker, retired climber.

Hello...
Try resizing your images a little next time before posting!
Welcome to FON, glad you like the site... We are all pretty friendly, but as a kayaker, you'll have to expect at least some friendly
sarcasm from time to time!!. Just don't say you were 'surfing' when you were surf-kayaking or you'll upset the surfers!!
See you on the beach sometime (if you ever get this far down into wales.)

Hi Lee....
The front of your Kayak looks mighty familiar..... it wasn't you that ran me over was it a few months back in Croyde??
(Thought i'd get the first friendly sarcasm in...(and I am only joking))
I've met loads of friendly Kayakers who understand wave etiquetti and share the swell... but like every type of water craft users (be
it kayak or surfboard) you'll always get the minority that are idiots and give everyone a bad name.
Which beaches do you get to in NW... its my usual stomping ground, living in Manchester its the closest place for me to get in the
sea... usually abersoch way..Porth Ceriad, Port Oer, Hells mouth etc..
Wasn't summer great? I think it was on a Thursday!

Thanks for your posts.
Good to see there is humour at there too. If I am attached to a kite it will only be another chance to get out of the boat; which I do
all too frequently when I am upside down. Beaches I use are Cable Bay (Anglesey), Hells Mouth, and I've had a good one at Dinas Dinlle
(Caernarfon) once. Also intend making more effort to get down to Newgale.
