In that case can I recommend :-
www.metronet.co.uk
The only (as far as I know) pay as you go Broadband ISP.
£10.00 per month minimum charge.
Min contract 3 months.
Per month data useage included:- 200Mb.
201-5796Mb Data useage charged at £0.0025 Per Mb.
Over 5796Mb Free of charge, therefore max per month charge £23.99 (i.e the same charge as most 512K Broadband ISP's charge per
month)
OK, its a bit tricky working out how much data you may up/download per month , but they do have a bit on the web page telling you how
to work it out and the max you pay is the same as most ISP's will charge anyway!
Actual world experience....I have paid as much as £13 per month for surfing for stuff and looking at forums and sending /receiving
e-mails! I do work from home every now and then, but never download music and rarely download video (not many windsurf video's
available online!)
Its a wires only service so you do get the chance to fork out cash on a router! but if you stick with the service and do not pay the
'max per month, you gradually claw this back....I paid my 802.11g wireless hub off in about 4 months!)
And, no I don't work for them, but am a staunch advocate of this kind of 'only pay for what you get' stuff
