Sailing around the NW
Seeing as it is getting a bit lighter in the evenings and also as most of the wind seems to happen during the week I am looking for
somwhere to sail after work. I know there are a few people around the manchester area so where are you sailing? I live in Bolton and
work in Wigan so within an hour of Wigan would be good. Pennington Flash seems like the most conveniant option but I don't think that
anyone else windsurfs there. Anyway, let me know where you are all hibernating cos I need lots more practice so I can really annoy
PaulF by going faster than him.

Also try -
west pennine sailing club at watergrove resr, or hollingworth lake - both in rochdale and quite close to each other.
torside resr in glossop (sw wind only).

Emma... I haven't got around to adding the beach descriptions for the North West to the new beach guide, but you can take a look at the
old descriptions (which will soon be transferred across) here:
http://www.forces-of-nature.co.uk/beachguide/bg_northwest.htm
Hope that helps.

Cheers for that, Al
I guess my problem isn't much having somewhere to sail as I know where the locations are, it's just finding others to sail with. Also,
the coast is a bit too far to go after work and all the inland lakes you have to be a member of and I can only really afford one lot of
membership. At least up north it is around £100 though as opposed to twice that down south....
You don't know how lucky you are living so close to the sea.
