Hey there

Hi..Neil Sunderland has recommended I give Borth a kite seshion sometime..heard some good things about the place..i live near brum and from cape town SA. arrrg being landlocked sux! used to sail at hayling island, but too far now so quite keen to try this new spot out. Is there any borth riders keen to hook up and show me around? Been riding since '99 and on gaastra and cape dr 125 board and amped to boost some phat airs..whatz the best forecast site for borth and is there some places to stay overnight if need be? not much wind this w/e but should drive over next w/e..anybody keen to meet up? could possibly bring some beers to persuade?

Hi Leonardo.... I'll be around and keen to get on the water as usual.

The best forecast site for Borth is this one!!! Check on the home page for a daily forecast and the Wind Forecasts Page for detailed info

As far as places to stay go, there are loads... Take a look at This Thread where you'll find a list of accommodation options with contact details.

Also take a look at This Thread where you'll find some info about the various locations in Borth (along with a crappy sketch map!!)

Cool Al. Shot for the info and help. I will be heading down this wed/thurs for a jam sesh! What ya reckon will be better - Wed or Thurs for a kite sesh? Is Borth best on a low?

Ummm..... Winds look as though they will be Southerly (cross-shore from the left) mid week, but its anyone guess at the moment.

The seafront at Borth is best at any time other than high tide, but the estuary is best a few hours either side of high tide, so you can take you pick. High tides for Weds / Thurs are 5.45pm and 6.35 pm.

I'll be working on both days, but could be tempted to have a little evening session after 6pm if the wind looks good.
