Now then!

Hello,
My name is Rob,
I first tasted windsurfing at the age of 13, on holiday in Cornwall. The drizzle was falling straight. Then I had another go September- November 1987 when I got my RYA level 1, as part of the conditions for logging hours and getting use of the boards. I then left it alone Until March 2003 when I decided to go for my level 2. I have been windsurfing since.
I have been a lurker here for some time and appeared at the FON beach meet 04/05 October where I buried my car in the sand.
I Normally sail at West Kirby on the Wirral, as it’s only 10mins drive away, where Borth is 2.5hrs.
Just thought that I would Introduce myself after all this time!

Greetings Rabbit. Good to see another kirby regular on this site, and with only 10 mins to get there too! Nice.
How's it been over there, are you persevering through the winter? - I've been away on hols for a while and am starting to miss the place, but not the hypothermia.

Winter has been quiet for me, there have been quite a few very windy days where I would have gone out but....
my smallest sail is 5.8M so not much good over 30Knots, though I did get out at the beginning of January, And I pulled off a carve gybe! but other than that only owning a 3-2 wet suit found that below 5'c it gets a bit cold. Do you sail at WK Shawn?

I'm split 50/50 between kirby, which is my traditional stomping ground, and rhosneigr, which has proved more entertaining over the last 18 mnths or so but takes an hour or so longer to get there.

Here's a pic of me at kirby....

so - keep yer eyes open and say hi if you see me about. I drive a filthy white honda civic. This year I'll be more easily recognised as the idiot getting hauled up and down the beach on this daft size kite I bought in a moment of madness......

Are there any pics of you posted up yet? It seems most everyone that sails there has at least 1 mugshot somewhere on the site.
