Gun Wave 4.5 2001
I've been offered a Gun Wave 4.5 2001 for £130, apparently average-good condition.
What's this sail like?
What are its boom/mast dimensions? I intend to rig it on a 430 temporarily until I get a 400. My boom is 162-222. Will it fit?
Is £130 a good price?
Can't find any info about it....is the name right?

Hi Harry, not sure if its the Impact Wave or Wave MC that you've been offered, but to answer your questions:
The sails are nice, IMpact wave isn't as powerful as the Wave MC, but both are nice fairly neutral sails, well built and stable.
Luff is probably pretty much around 400cm, but you'll get away with in on a 430 mast as they have adjustable heads. Boom is probably
about 165cm.
£130 is expensive for a 2nd hand 2001 one... You can get brand new 4.5m 2004 wave sails from gun at £218 and they have brand new
2003 models at £163 they have been selling off 2002 models at £99 each (Although I think they have sold out of those now).
You get the 2 year warranty with those as well.
