Mad Monday

Things are looking pretty mad for Monday. Not only does it look like the mother of all swells should hit thewest coast of the UK, but most wind forecasts have some pretty high numbers on them too.. Windguru has 45 knots!!!

Should be interesting.

Maybe not so mad after all now.... Looks as though the winds have come along this evening, and then there will be a brief respite during Monday, before the winds kick in on Tuesday again.

Today was pretty good mind you, and if the swell continues to build there could be some epic surf first thing tomorrow (Monday) morning. It looks as though the wind will virtually drop to nothing and what little there will be will go offshore. If that happens the surf could end up being as good as it gets around here and some of the 'special spots' will be working. I won't have time to get to one of those, but if this does happen I may well have to have a late start at work!

The winds should then return with a vengeance on Tuesday, so I might just have to have an early finish at work to make the most of them!!

After gazing out of the window for the last 2 weeks because the wifey was ready to drop our 1st child at what seems to be the windiest 2 weeks running for a long time,i finally got the chance to get to beach today.Although a big low pressure went through last night with 50mph gusts(i know cus i was changing nappies at 3am) most forcasts were saying there would still be a 20knt westerly blowing through the day.But after a quick drive down to Overcombe there seemed to be a 5-10knt light breeze blowing, pissed off or what!!!
Couldnt be bothered to check the harbour so drove home again.Didnt think this merited a dairy entry...So any way-windy tuesday, not where i was, hope others had better luck, should ave looked at exmouth?

Sorry to hear about that Spence.... Its been blowing its tits off all day here, but its a bit far for you to come for a day trip, especially after a night full of nappy changing.

Congratulations on the new arrival. Hope alls well... Seems like its in the air at the moment, a friend of mine went into labour today.
