Shem...is that allowed!!

Shem wrote in his recent diary entry

quote:
Finally, my little speed boat back in the water, 14 foot fletcher with a 55 penta out board. after a full rebuild and, this was the first test drive, after a few minor adjustments we were up and running. flying down wind at around 30-35 mph, donk was first up, busting big airs and clearing the wake every jump.

I had a fun 20 minuite stint, took a while to get into it, but real fun, forgoten what a fast sport it is.

Shame the boat decided to play up again. (few minor adjustments should sort it)?!?!

Had to get towed in, never mind.

Still a fun sesh.

My 17.3 meter globe rider has arrived, gagin 4 wind now.

Tch tch tch... Wakeboarding, is that a Force-of-Nature sport!!!.... Can't wait to have a go though, is it difficult to get the hang of? I don't think I'll be busting big airs for a while!

How does the kite look? We should be getting enough wind for it soon. Don't wear it out too much though as I'll be after it when you're selling it on 2nd hand!!

Al.

Wake boarding

I know, its not a force of nature, but if theres no wind, or waves. How bad can carving behind a boat be? Its fairly easy to get into, the only tricky part is launching,(its all technique). Im only geting small airs, but donk is doing 6foot high Indys, etc.Geuss its all the snowboarding thats helping him.

The kite looks gorgous,Its very light weight compared to the "Caution", but apparently flys in vertually no wind, itll be good to c how light a wind it gets my 13 stone arse up and riding in.

The Bag is amazing, and the bar looks real nice, youll have to have a try. If any one else wants a blast with it, just get in touch.

Spear fishing

Fishing, a fair point. Especially as Ive been spear fishing the last 5 years. This summers been amazing for Bass and Mullet spearing, with constant 3-5lb catches.

New activity maybe Al??

Really pushed the boundaries and combined Quad biking with Shot guns this after noon!!!!!!!! Up at the Bearded lake. ( dont suppose Ill be up for a force of nature award for that)!!

Paul... I told you that could could have wake-boarding if you wanted.. I even added the 'other' category especially for it!!... so stop your moaning, you were top of the Hall of Fame for June anyway.

Befs... Steady on, you'll be wanted golf added soon, and while we're at it, how about DIY, shopping and sleeping!

Shem.. Can't wait to have a go with your new kite kite, and at wake-boarding. I'll be out there spear fishing next summer by the sounds of it too... I even found some of my old diving kit whilst moving house yesterday, so I should be able to throw together a mask, snorkel and fins for it.

Forces-of-Nature awards.... shhh, they don't know about them yet, they are meant to be a surprise for the new year!!!
