NEWSFLASH~NEWSFLASH~NEWSFLASH

!!!NO INSURANCE FOR THE 4TH/5TH SURF COMP IN BORTH!!!

According to my resources the Borth Surf Club doesnt have any insurance for the 4th/5th surf comp held in October at Borth!
Apparently they asked the counsil, they didnt agree to give them insurance, then they asked the B.S.A( british surfing association) for their help with the insurance! Even the B.S.A didnt help, they said " We will not give out insurance to them unless there willl be proper equipment, and proper judges".
Well a bummer for us!

Thats not surpirsing really..... Would you want to risk insuring a load of amatuers setting up a surf contest, with no proper rescue cover, nor proper judges etc.?? They won't have a clue as to the experience of the entrants, some of them might not even be able to swim!!!

It shouldn't mean that the contest has to be cancelled though as they'll just have to get the entrants to sign a disclaimer before the get in the water.
