Sick waves peeling of at Croyde Bay!

Any spongers who like to ride perfect waves? I found that perfect wave on the 12th of August (i think?:roll. Croyde Bay was peeling off sick waves constantly that day. Perfect right handed barrelles every 10 seconds! It was so sad, because i wasn't there to ride it!

Grrrr... I try my best to avoid looking at the Croyde Web Cam. I used to live there for a while and work as a lifeguard on the beach at Croyde, so I know full well how good it can get.

I do prefer it here in Borth as far as the lack of crowds, more relaxed lifestyle and better windsurfing conditions go, but in comparison to Croyde, the surf around here is pretty poor. You can't have it all I suppose..

Angry....I take it geography isn't your strong point!!!

Croyde is in N. Devon and probably the second most well known surf beach in the UK after Fistral. It can get pretty big, and pretty hollow at low tide, but if you're still having problems avoiding the groynes at Borth then I'd avoid Croyde for a while as its probably THE most crowded beach in the UK!!

Hey justal,

Remind me again, is Fistral in Cornwall? I must go there sometime. How is it?

LOL

Now I'm SURE you're winding us up Angry!!!

If not, think about getting a copy of the Stormrider Guide.... it'll give you some idea of the surf spots and where they are in the UK... There aren't any in the North West of England for a start!!

It has some good photos too.

You can Buy it here

Shhh... Don't tell everyone, the 'locals' won't like you if you give all the 'secret spots' away!!!
