Anyone know much about this surf spot, i've never heard about it but would appreciate comments.

BTW, its called Whistling sands because of the whistling sound that can be created when you shuffle your feet through the sand. It doesn't happen all the time and I've never heard it, but its supposed to be pretty weird.

As far as the surf conditions go, Porth Oer offers more sheltered conditions than Hells Mouth in SW winds and needs a big swell to work really well, but will work in lesser conditions too. It gets crowded here, especially in summer. The beach is owned by the National Trust who for some reason don't really like surfers using the beach when its really busy.
