ITU Triathlon world Championships - Here I come!
Yeeeesssss! Q1, Big Cow - get in there, Auckland here I come.
I know, I know, 'it's only Age-Group' and it isn't a 'Forces-of-Nature' sport but I'm pretty stoked.
I've been working hard for this, I've just checked the BTF website and there's a 'Q1' next to my name - Little old Al has qualified for
the ITU Age-Group World Triathlon Championships in Auckland later this year. Yep, I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself at the moment.
Click here for my full ITU Age-Group World
Championship Qualification story.
Who'd have thought I could do it!
Al.

Fantastic. As a retired-ish triathlete who was winning age groups in my 40s I doff my cap. I do keep myself in shape for racing though
(mostly MTB at the mo) and wonder how I'd fare 10 years on. However, one of the reasons I dropped out was because the training and prep
does take over your life as you noted in your blog.
