"I find habit is more attractive than addiction"
Hi
Just a quick intro from another bristol based windsurfer, just into my second year and can't get enough TOTW, I think the addictive
nature of windsurfing is a major problem (must getout to sail, must buy new board/sail both, must check the wind, must find out when
high tide is, must buy this months issue of boards etc etc) my life is no longer my own!! still beats work.

Hi,
I guess we must almost have bumped into one another at wsm last Tue (june 10). I remember seeing a Skate out on the water - probably
with you on it
I was out on the 85l Bee (very old & disgustingly green) with Naish Nalu 5.5m sail - Best day's sailing for months, though could
have done without the lulls (a common feature of S winds @ weston). Spent ages trying to waterstart during the lulls!
Anyhow, I'm off to Fuerte on Wed (18th) for a couple of weeks, so should (fingers-crossed) get some decent sailing in there.
Cheers,
Martin - K62

I'll keep an eye out for you Martin, although I'll try not to bump into you as I am usually totally out of control and on the verge of
a spectacular crash. Have a good trip.

It comes form my first posting on boards forum, I advised on the use of a griptool called Boa Constrictor to seperate jammed mast's,
now some bum has blagged the idea and written to Boards, got letter of the month and a tasty north shore bag GRRR

Whats happened to all the WSM sailors, we haven't heard much about the action there for a few weeks? Has the tide gone out and stayed
out!!!

Hi Justal, mmm not much sailing for me lately, plenty of wind at WSM but it hasnt fitted my Shift/tide pattern which really pisses me
off.Took last week off & stayed at Polzeath/Daymer bay.but where i went the wind seemed to drop, this
inclued-Marizion,Daymer,gwithian(Dodgy spelling). But every day Wsm was windy-gusting 35 knts tues, went to Exmouth sat. wrecked my
fin, broke my harness & had a silly little wipe out and F*cked my knee(wont be going there again),today is gusting 26knts at Wsm but
the doc has said no W-surfing or MTBing for 2 weeks,so expect lots of wind in this area for 2 weeks followed by 2 weeks of nothing i
expect(not bitter at all).

Oh... Sorry to hear about all that, you do seem to have had a run of bad luck!
It sounds as though everyone else should head to WSM for the next couple of weeks! I'll have to come to Bristol soon to visit my
family, but will try to coincide it with a windy weekend and good tides so that I can join you all for a sail at WSM. It won't be
unbtil the house is built probably though, which is supposed to be finsished in the beginning of November....Just in time for the real
winds to kick in!!

Likewise i wanna get a weekend in at Borth,it sounds good for windsurfing, guess from your beach guide that you can sail at any tide
state...ive been trying to check out different locations & i think Borth will be the next W/end trip....are there any campsites
about??

Yep...Any state of tide is OK, but launching on big high tides in strong W-SW's is a little difficult. Its only like that on big tides
though and its not impossible. Besides, if it looks too full on for launching in those conditions, its possible to launch int he
estuary and sail across to Graveyards for some wave action rather than waiting an hour or so for the tide to drop.
As far as campsites go, there are plenty of them, and a Youth Hostel which is pretty good by all accounts. I'm probably not the best
person to ask about such facilities though as living here means that I've never had to use any of them!!
BEFS stayed in the Youth Hostel last time he came here, and SeanBo stayed in a campsite... Maybe we should try to organise another
weekend for F-O-N members to meet up at Borth. It would suit me as its a little difficult for me to get away at the moment as theeres
so much going on here with the house build etc.
Take a look at this thread http://www.forces-of-nature.co.uk/forum/viewthread.php?tid=441 for contact details of Borth
campsites.
