Another record for l'hydroptere

That mad French boat l'hydroptere has done it again, this time breaking the 50 knot barrier over a mile.

It achieved an average speed of 50.17 knots (92.91km/h) over one nautical mile (1.852 km) setting a new world record. To put this in perspective, it is a whole 10 knots faster than the fastest windsurfer over the same distance.

Impressive stuff from a very impressive boat!

Yeah, its a little more expensive than windsurfing or kite-surfing kit though!
