Ystwyth MTB rides week beginning 21st Sept
Night Ride
I'm still not really allowed to join in, but this weeks YMBC weekly evening ride is on Wednesday - Nant-yr-arian - so meet at 7:00 pm
in the car park ar the base of Hippity Hop or ride up from the war memorial in Penrhyncoch at 6:00. The ride up will be the three hill
climb so may be a little later than 7:00 at hippity Hop. Route will either be Bontgoch part of the Conti trail or out and do half the
MBR killer loop - depends on what riders want.
The trail is really dry at the mo (or was at the weekend)
Lights are a necessity, especially if we do a long loop. Definitely bring something warm for the end of the ride as it still gets cold
later on and maybe for the ride as well as it was a bit nippy on last weeks ride at Nant. Bringing a change of clothing might be a good
idea as the stream crossings may be deep at the moment - so waterproof coat, shorts, socks, boots.........
Weekend Ride
End of Month Ride:
Sunday 27th Sept 2009
10:00 am Pont Scethin. Leave Aberystwyth at 9:00 to get to Tywyn for 10:00. Start at SH 892 218 21 km. Another ‘natural’
route on a challenging trail that makes this one of Wales’s toughest rides.

General Info
There is a group of 10ish transient and 4-5 regular “hardcore” riders who join in on these rides in and around
Aber/Mach.
We will ride for 2-2¬? hours depending on the people who join us, at a social pace.
