Lost my dagger board!
Hi all!
I need a dagger board for a BIC board. But failing that any daggerbioard will do and I'll modify it to fit.
Picture attached of one that looks identical to the one I lost!
Any one help / got one laying around?
Thanks!
Lloyd

I've got pone if you can collect.... You can have the board attached to it as well!
Someone else wanted this recently, but I haven't heard from them for a while, so if you want it it is yours.

Excellent news! But where are you? Im as south east as you can get so hopefully you aren't north west
If not too far I'll go for that! How much were you looking for the bits?
Many many thanks

You can have them for free, board, daggerboard and probably a load of old sails and booms and stuff too, but I'm in Borth, Wales so
quite a way from you which is a shame.

Never mind, hopefully someone a little closer to you will have something suitable.
Let us know how you get on.

Will do!!
And thanks for the offer.
Does the dagger really matter to me at the moment? I'm only just getting the sail up and moving a few yards at the moment!!!
Cheers!

The daggerboard will help as it provides lateral resistance and will stop you moving sideways so much during the learning stages. It
will also help you head upwind better once you're moving a little more confidently. But if it is a case of getting out and practising
without a daggerboard or not getting out at all then just do it without the daggerboard!
Once you progress onto your next board it won't have a daggerboard anyway.

If you can't fin one locally, You can make one out of wood, preferably marine ply.
I did many moons ago.
Good luck

Thanks for the wood tip, I was considering it but was worried it would be too bouyant?
Al, thanks for the dagger advice. I spent a few hours on the sea today, was dead calm but no wind. Put on the large sail and made some
good progress. Still struggling to balance once that mast is vertical for long though!!
The wife and I are contemplating an overnight stay as a break / opportunity to pick up your windsurf parts... I'll keep you posted!
Any pointers on keeping better balance when mast is up welcomed!!
