New Forks
I've just had to order some new forks for my bike ... Mine weren't worth repairing as doing so would have been more expensive than
buying new ones. I got some RockShox Recon Air Forks so at least they were a slight upgrade to the previous RockShox Recon coil
forks.
And I wasn't supposed to be spending any more money until after Xmas!!
Feels like ages since I've been out on it as well.

Sounds good Shem. I think the RRP of those is around £160 so you got yourself a bargain!
I could have got something similar but didn't want to downgrade from what I had before. Also, I can only really go with 100mm travel
forks. The ones I got had a RRP of £350 reduced to £199.
The next thing I need is a full-suspension bike, but I think that will have to wait.

I shudnt have gone more than 100 withb mine according to shops that I spoke to, but unless your worried about loosing the odd second
here and there i'd disagree, I did consider gettin a good pair of 100mm travel, but these where such a bargain, I thought Id risk it, I
just find the bike rolls over things so smoothly down hill now, and I can still get up technical up hills as well as before. Well
happy! I was gonna get some of the ones youve got myself, but though Id go the credit crunch sensdible option, lol. Mine where down
freom 175, but I did see your in the flod damaged sale at 160 quid, they prob sold out quick tho. When do u want a ride?? Be carefull
cutting down your riser bar on the forks!

I'm still waiting for the forks and the bike is still in the shop, so when the forks arrive I'll take them to the shop and they'll fit
them for me... Not sure if it'll all get sorted before Xmas though... Hope so as it would be good to get out for a ride soon.
Are you popping around for a mince pie tomorrow Shem?

I've got my bike back now... I haven't ridden it yet, but the forks look good and feel much better so hopefully it will make a
difference.. Expensive business this mountain-biking!
