Aber MTB Rides week beginning 20th Oct

This weeks night-ride will be on Thursday 23rd October and the venue is Angler's Retreat. Meet at the usual spot just over the top of the hill on the fire road that leaves the Nant-y-moch road at SN 702 909 and park at SN 731 911. Park here: http://www.multimap.com/s/cKkIfOCx

Route will be 10-15 miles and a mix of singletrack/doubletrack/MXer trail and forestry fire road climbs with a couple of stream crossings thrown in for good measure.

Both spare sets of lights have already been assigned.

General Info
There is a group of 10ish transient and 4-5 regular ‚Äúhardcore‚Äù riders who join in on these rides in and around Aber/Mach.

We will ride for 2-2¬? hours depending on the people who join us, at a social pace. Please feel welcome to join us at any time.

End of Month Ride
Sunday 26th October.
This one is up at Nant-yr-Arian, meeting in the Hippity Hop car park and kindly led by Malcolm Dines. Ride out to Angler's Retreat via the MBR killer loop and then out to Mach 3 and down the Chute. Return leg via the Hyddgen valley back to join 'Joe's Back Garden' near the sheep-shearing pens. Back along the scalextric style sheep track to Angler's Retreat and then back via the Conti trail and shortcut (sidewinder) back to Hippity Hop. Roughly 52 km and a mixture of singletrack/doubletrack/forestry road/peaty singletrack and some good stream crossings. Views into the Hyddgen valley are awesome so lets hope for some good weather.

Steve and I are heading off to do the end of month ride today... Just hope it dries up a bit as it should be a good ride.
