Trans Wales MTB Challenge

The 2008 TransWales MTB challenge takes place between 16th to 21st August.

Stages of local interest are

Thursday 21st August 2008
Third special stage on the Cli-machx trail (Corris)

followed by ‚Äì

Fifth linking stage from the Climax Trail to Ponterwyd.
Distance: approx. 55.5 Km
Metres of climbing approx. 1683 m
Predicted riding time: 5 ‚Äì 6 hours

Friday 22nd August 2008
Fourth Special Stage at Nantyrarian.

followed by ‚Äì

Sixth linking stage from Nantyrarian to Strata Florida.
Distance: approx. 68.5 Km
Metres of climbing: approx. 1968 m
Predicted riding time: 6 ‚Äì 7 hours

Anyone can go and watch the riders go round and it should be interesting to see how fast some of them go round are local trails.
