Introduction and advice on Aberdovey.
Hi all, I am new to the forum and so far it seems like a helpful and friendly place.
I am heading over to Aberdovey this coming weekend and am hoping for some advice from you guys. Depending on the wind obviously I am
looking for suggestions of spots I can; (a) static fly a foil kite and (b) maybe do some bodydragging in a suitable safe spot.
BTW, I did IKO levels I-III last year, but haven't been on the water since then. So I am not a total newbie, but need some practise
and confidence building.
Any suggestions you have would be great, thanks.
Steve

Hi, if your heading to Aberdyfi drive straight thru the village, and out towards tywyn. As you leave the village, half a mile out
theres a large hotel on the cliff, and a layby on the road below it. Park up there and head over the golf course, thats where most of
us go. Youll find there are lagoons at various stages of the tide, which are nice and shallow and perfect for learning in safe
conditions. Dont mistake them wit the estuary, which is a no go for learning.
With Easterlys we may alll be over ynys las this weekend however.
See ya on the beach

Hey Steve,
You'll find all at Aberdyfi very friendly, and more than willing to give advice and help if needed. This is also goes for the other
side of the water at Borth/Ynys las.
I think I may have already spoken to you at PKS, and with any luck, I should be at the beach fairly soon, so will see you there at some
point.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I'll see where the kites are sailing and pop along to say Hi even if I can't go out there. Shem, do the lagoons still work in an
Easterly, or does it rule out that side ?
Jaymo, sorry wasn't me you spoke to.
Hopefully see you guys on the weekend.
