New Year's Eve
SO - who's up for a traditional Borth New Years Eve - parked up on some icy, windswept beach??
I plan to be up on Sunday if there's wind, Monday evening if not.
I'll bring me bike in case a couple of swift one's in the Friendship are in order.
If the carpark gate HAS been changed - and Dafydd is too pissed to dish out new keys - then it may be the estuary - Al - what are the
tides gonna be like??

i will be up sometime before if the wind is up thought about stayiing at the Docs camp site for new years eve ad the estuary might be
full of idiots racing in cars!
think the golf club has changed the lock so Daffyd is not going to have any keys anyway. fingers crossed for decent winds.

Not sure what the tides are doing exactly on New Years Day as I don't have a 2008 tide timetable yet, but on New Years Eve high tide is
around 1pm and 4m.
As far as parking at the estuary goes, you may have trouble doing so as there isn't a lot of room there at the moment thanks to the
work they are doing... Most of it is fenced off an inaccessible and at some point I think vehicular access is to be cut off
altogether.

Yep, but quite a bit of the beach is fenced off already and has been for a couple of weeks.

Just looked at the long range forcast and looks like there should be wind most days from boxing day onwards. Has been up and down
though. If there is wind, I'll be about for as long as it lasts..as long as i'm back at work by the 3rd.
I'll probably bring my bike too if anyones up for some mtb'ing. Be good to catch up with whoever is about

Yep - looking quite possible now - 12 or so knots southerly. I will be back down tomorrow lunchtime, Neil, Andy B and tony are already
in Borth, I think Loxley is joining them too, so be a few about for NYE celebrations
