Panel rip repair tape.
Having had a power line snap and the kite getting washed in the waves at Borth yesterday, i ended up with an 8inch rip in the end
panel.
Neil mentioned some repair tape.
Is this the stuff i need ....?
Thanks
Mark

thanks for that neil,
now all i have to do is get a new line.
been searching and can only find 'complete 5th line' sets from £99 to £125 !
was hoping i could just get the single line changed, or at least the 2 main power lines to keep them matched.

Loxley, was it your C kite that exploded on the water and then deflated?

it was indeed.
my right power line snapped,
it went into a nose dive and got tangled in the waves
i guess the panel got ripped whilst being churned in the water while I was getting it to the beach.

Mark, you would be far better and cheaper buying one of my kites. I have a range of strikes to sell all complete and possibly some
Ocean Rodeos. Need to start saving for those Ions (I did like them too much)
Which kite did you break?

Hi Chris,
Well I may be interested in the Rodeos.
Wouldnt mind a test fly next time.
Wont be in Wales this weekend as heading down to Berkshire to see the kids.
But we will be back at Borth the weekend of 24th/25th and Dec 1st/2nd
Col,
it was my 10m Rhino which took a beating.
Managed to get a 2nd hand 5th element bar and line set on ebay last night for £80, hopefully the lines will be in as good a
condition as the ad stated. either way, at least i will then have a bar for each Rhino if i do have to shell out for a brand new line
set.

Hey Mark,
Good to see you at Borth this weekend. I once snapped a power line. I bought 2 new ones from Naish. It broke because I had a knot, so
check your lines, as you half your breaking strain with a knot.
I had a lucky escape Sunday too. I got on the water around midday and everyone came off ( was it something I said:blush
I was maxed out on my 12m with my trim strap pulled right in. I boosted huge and as I took off my trim strap broke sending me up on
full power! I was actually a nice jump but the landing was super fast. I came hurtling towards the beach well overpowered all I could
do was carve out on my toe edge. Then I pulled my safety.
It was lucky really that there was only Derick and myself sailing.
All in all a good 5 days sailing last week though.

Hi Dunk,
well it was odd that everyone packed up around lunchtime.
as you say it was a close call on the damage front.
I dont remember there being a knot in the line as I always run the lines through my fingers each time I lay out just to check.
see you in 2 weeks
